This integrative character can also be seen in the hotel’s architecture and interior design, which combine the classic with the avant-garde, sprinkled with vestiges with a clear Andalusian tinge. The best proof of this cultural crucible are the archaeological remains unearthed in the plot of land the building occupies, which the hotel conserves and protects inside it. The souvenirs of past civilisations found inside the hotel include Roman tombs, a well, hydraulic fountains, an Almohade wall and even a well from the Caliphate
The Eurostars Patios de Córdoba is located in the city centre and has 65 rooms, including 6 Junior Suites and 2 handicapped-accessible rooms. It also has a meeting room and all the amenities to ensure our guests’ utmost comfort. If you wonder why the hotel is called Patios de Córdoba, all you have to do is enter one of the five lovely Andalusian courtyards (“patios” in Spanish) harboured inside the building. Their beauty will captivate you. The Eurostars Patios de Córdoba is located on a street with a longstanding cultural tradition. In the early 18th century, it was the home to at least five booksellers, almost all of whom operated their own press, and it was regarded as the most important street in the city. It was known as Calle de los Libreros (Booksellers’ Street) and later as Calle de la Librería (Bookshop Street). The historical Diario de Córdoba newspaper was founded there in 1849 and continued to be published for almost 90 years. In tribute, the street name was changed to Diario de Córdoba, its current name.
The hotel is located right in the historic city centre, just a few minutes from the most important points of interest in Córdoba. It boasts the perfect location for visiting the main sites on foot: the Mosque of Córdoba, the tiny streets in the Judería (Jewish Quarter, a UNESCO Human Heritage Site), the synagogue, the Arab Baths, the Roman Bridge, the museum of Julio Romeo de Torres and the Calahorra Tower, which houses the museum honouring the three major cultures which coexisted in the city in the past: Muslim, Christian and Jewish. The Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions is less than 1 kilometres away. Food for diabetics is on request.
